ITINERARY

Day 01, Wednesday, 20 March 2024

Take flight from India to Johannesburg, South Africa. Pick up and transfer to airport hotel

Day 02, Thursday, 21 March 2024 Arrival – Maun – Moremi Game Reserve

Transfer to Johannesburg airport and fly to Maun, Botswana. On arrival our expert guide will pick you up and then you will be transferred for a short shopping stop in Maun. Here you can buy some supplies necessary for the days ahead on this trip. Depart to Moremi Game Reserve. Moremi is definitely one of the best game reserves within Botswana, offering the visitor a magnificent variety in landscape and marvellous wildlife all year round. Birdwatchers will be amazed. Overnight: Safari Tent (No power supply. WI-FI at camp office)

Day 03, Friday, 22 March 2024 Moremi Game Reserve

Morning and afternoon game drives. Optional boat trips on the Delta can be done from Xakanaxa or Mboma Boat Stations by on spot payments. Time permitting we will do a night game drive. Overnight: Safari Tent (No power supply. WI-FI at camp office)

Day 04, Saturday, 23 March 2024 Moremi - Khwai

Khwai is a pristine area in the Okavango Delta is rich in wildlife and teems with bird life and is one of the best areas in Southern Africa to see wild dogs. This is one of the last real wilderness areas in Southern Africa. The campsites are near the Khwai River. Elephants show up daily at campsites and lion and spotted hyena are regular visitors. Day 07, Tuesday, 26 March 2024 Khwai - Chobe National Park

Depart to Savuti in Chobe National Park. The Savuti Channel flows sporadically, but is dry lately. Wildlife is spread out all along the channel and the Savuti Marsh. There are only a few waterholes, and they are visited by large concentrations of game in the dry season. Elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, zebra, kudu, giraffe & impala roam the area and lion, spotted hyena and leopard are seen often. Cheetah and wild dog are sporadic sightings. Elephants are regular visitors to the campsite. Afternoon game drive Overnight: Camping at Savuti (Good ablution facilities) No power supply, No mobile connection, WI-FI at camp office

Day 08, Wednesday, 27 March 2024 Khwai - Chobe National Park

Day 09, Thursday, 28 March 2024 Chobe National Park

Depart to the Chobe River Front via the Chobe Forest Reserve. The first section on the Chobe Cutline is a very loose 4x4 sand track. Stop at the Community Hand Craft Shop at Kachikau. Very good quality hand-weaved baskets are for sale here. Proceed via Muchenje to Kasane. Replenish supplies at Kasane for catering at Senyati. Continue to Senyati Camp. Senyati is situated on the border of the Kasane Forest Reserve. The chalets and bar-deck overlook a flood-lit waterhole where herds of elephant, numbering in total up to hundreds a day, come to drink from mid-afternoon until late at night. Spotted hyena, sable & roan antelope, big herds of buffalo, kudu, giraffe and impala are regular visitors too. Leopard, lion and wild dog are sporadic visitors. Relax in the afternoon at accommodation or on the bar deck overlooking the floodlit waterhole. Overnight: Chalet at Senyati Safari Camp 220V power supply, Botswana roaming mobile connection, WI-FI at Bar deck from 18:00-22:00

Day 10, Friday, 29 March 2024 Senyati Safari Camp / Chobe National Park

Depart to the Chobe River Front via the Chobe Forest Reserve. The first section on the Chobe Cutline is a very loose 4x4 sand track. Stop at the Community Hand Craft Shop at Kachikau. Overnight: Chalet at Senyati Safari Camp 220V power supply, Botswana roaming mobile connection, WI-FI at Bar deck from 18:00-22:00 Day 10, Friday, 29 March 2024 Senyati Safari Camp / Chobe National Park Depart early morning to the Riverfront of Chobe National Park. This is elephant country. Chobe National Park is very famous for its abundance of elephant. This Park has the highest concentration of elephant anywhere in Africa, an estimated 70 000!! Chobe is also famous for its huge herds of buffalo and predators including lion, leopard and spotted hyena. Sable and roan antelope, giraffe, kudu, waterbuck, tsessebe, impala, red lechwe, the endemic puku, Chobe bushbuck, herds of zebra, warthogs, pods of hippo and crocodiles are some of the species to be seen The Chobe Riverfront is one of the best birding areas in Southern Africa and various species of raptors, including great sightings of fish-eagles, flocks of vultures, various aquatic species, colourful bee-eaters and rollers can be encountered on a game drive. Game drive until noon. Return to Kasane. Depart at 15:00 on a 03-hour afternoon boat trip on the Chobe River. Good wildlife sightings are common on the boat trips. Return to Senyati. Relax at the floodlit waterhole. Overnight: Chalet at Senyati Camp

Day 11, Saturday, 30 March 2024 Vic Falls

Depart in the morning with a Botswana Tour Operator to Vic Falls in Zimbabwe. Walking tour of the falls and then transfer to Zambia side. Stay Zambezi Sun

Day 12, Sunday, 31 March 2024 Vic Falls – Lusaka

Sunrise walking tour of the falls from Zambia side, followed by helicopter ride over the falls. Then transfer to airport for flight to Lusaka. Stay overnight in Lusaka Day 13, Monday, 01 April 2024 Fly back To the airport for a flight back to India

    MEALS
    Meals are provided in restaurants where available or prepared by the guide or crew member. Coffee/tea and a light breakfast are provided before early morning departures on game drives, followed by a brunch. On a normal schedule breakfast and light lunches are provided by guide/crew member. Dinners are in restaurants or catered by guide/crew member and on some occasions it will be a typical South African Braai (BBQ). Coffee/tea, juice, soft drinks & bottled water are included with all meals.
