Take flight from Mumbai to Tel Aviv. On arrival at Ben Gurion Airport, post customs transfer to your hotel in Jerusalem for dinner and overnight. You will be reaching Jerusalem by 7.30 am and rest of the day at leisure. Stay on Half Board Basis.
Day 02

After breakfast your private guide will come to pick you up and begin your tour in Israel with a spectacular panoramic overlook of the Old City from the Mount of Olives. Continue to the Kidron Valley and enter the Garden of Gethsemane, the Church of All Nations, also called the Basilica of Agony and visit the Garden Tomb. In this area the oldest Olive trees in the Holy Land, dating back to ancient times – a living witness to Jesus’s arrest by the Romans. We continue along the Kidron Valley, viewing the Tomb of Zechariah and the Tomb of Absalom – King David’s son. We will enter the Old City through one of its ancient gates, then proceed to the Wailing Wall – the remnant of Solomon’s Temple – and touch its ancient stones. We will ascend the Temple Mount and view the Dome of the Rock. We will continue through the Western Wall Tunnels to the Pools of Bethesda, the Via Dolorosa and the Arab Market. We will visit the Holy Sepulchre – the largest Church in Jerusalem. On to the Jewish Quarter, where we will see the renovated Cardo (the once main north-south colonnaded Roman Street) and its excavations. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast we will start driving to Bethlehem. Visit the birth place of Jesus – Bethlehem (if it is open). Walk through Manger Square to visit the Church of Nativity and the Church of Milk Grotto and Shepherds’ field. We will continue driving to Ein Kerem the picturesque village like an island in a sea of green forest in southwest Jerusalem.
According to Christian tradition, this is where Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, miraculously became pregnant. This is also where he was born. We will visit the two churches named after John the Baptist, one Catholic and the other Greek Orthodox visit the. Back to Jerusalem Visit the New Jerusalem. The parliament House- the Knesset visiting the Israel Museum and the shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls can be seen, visit the Model of Jerusalem showing the city as it was. We will see the new city of Jerusalem with Montefiori neighborhood, Mahane Yehuda market, Mea Shearim – the Orthodox Jewish neighborhood and more. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

After breakfast drive to the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth, passing by to the Good Samaritan Inn. After a short stop at sea-level for a panoramic view, continue to Jericho, the oldest city in the world. We will stop to see Zacchaeus’ Sycamore tree and proceed for an overview of Mt. of Temptation. Visit Tel Jericho where 25 ancient cities were uncovered. Continue drive for visit Qumran, where John the Baptist may have lived with the Essenes and where the famous Dead Sea Scrolls where found. Continue along the Dead Sea shore to hotel for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast we will drive along the Dead Sea shore to Massada. Ascend and descend by cable car. Visit the amazing fortress built by King Herod. Walk along the remains of the palaces, bath-house, walls and the synagogue, used by the Zealots. Hear the tragic story of the last stronghold of these fighters. If the weather permits, enjoy a dip in the salty waters of the Dead Sea. Drive back to hotel in Dead Sea for dinner and overnight.
