Srinagar to Lamayuru: The day starts early morning as this day is going to be long. We will leave the beauty of lakes and enter the barren land of Ladakh. Via Sonmarg we cross the Zozi la ( 11,000ft +) and enter ladakh. We proceed to visit Drass, known as the world’s second coldest place. Later we visit the famous Kargil war memorial. The remembrance of our brave soldiers. It is one of the ‘must visit’ places for every Indian. After visiting Kargil, we proceed towards Lamayuru. we reach lamayuru in late evening and stay overnight.

Lamayuru – Leh: This is a comparatively relaxing day. Morning we visit the famous oldest monastery in Ladakh, Lamayuru monastery. We get to see the monk school and some daily rituals of monks. Then we start our journey towards Leh.
Moon-land is another attraction we visit on the way. Some say the land is exactly that of Moon, and some say this land shines in the moonlight; but this is a natural panorama that you should see.
As we leave lamayuru and reach Leh, the mountain range changes its colors from brown to yellow to purple to off-white. The magnificent range of himalaya truly shows its colors. We will also see the magnetic hill, pathar sahib baba gurudwara & confluence of river Indus & Zanskar. We reach leh in early evening.

Leh: This is a rest day come acclamation day. This day we go slow on our sightseeing as we have entered high altitude and you might feel little sick because of altitude sickness.We will visit Shanti Stupa, which gives the panoramic view of Leh city & surrounded snow capped mountains. Hall of fame & Leh palace.

Leh – Hunder – Turtuk ( Nubra valley): Today early morning we start towards
Nubra valley, the cold dessert. Post lunch we reach Diskit, the place has 100ft tall statue of Chamba buddha, looking after the entire valley. Later we visit the sand dunes of hunder. here we will get to see the double hump bacterian camels ( only found in this region). The shooting of Bhag milkha bhag was from here. Late evening we reach turtuk. known as the last village that is allowed to visit by civilians on india-Pakistan border. Stay overnight at turtuk.

Turtuk – Khardung la – Leh: Early morning we take a walk through the small village turtuk. Turtuk was in Pakistan till 1971, Indian army won it in 71 war. We can still see the pakistani army bunkers & posts in the village. we will also get to see the LOC; pakistan and indian check posts in the same eyesight.
Post breakfast we start our journey back to Leh. While coming back we stop at the Khardung la (18,380 ft) known as the world’s highest motorable road. Some photo clicking time here and we will be back to Leh & stay overnight,

Leh – Pangong tso: Another day to start early. We will be going through the beautiful range of ladakh and reach the mesmerizing Pangong lake. On the way we pass Chang la ( 17,000 ft +) known as the third highest motorable road in the world. we reach the 3 Idiot fame Pangong tso by lunch time. We stay ovenight at swiss tents on the bank of Pangong. Late evening is free for you to cherish the beauty.

Pangong tso – Leh: After witnessing the beautiful sunrise of Pangong, we come back to leh.
On the way back we visit Thiksey monastery, which holds the largest indoor maitreya budha monastery in two storey building. It is also known as the smaller copy of Potala palace, Lhasa. Later we also visit the shey palace, which used to be the summer capital of Ladakh.

Leh: This will be the another restsa day. Visiting some nearby monasteries and palaces will be optional for you. evening you can have a walk in market and some souvenirs.
