Guided combined tour: Pushkin and Pavlovsk
This is a combined guided tour that will show you around both residences: Catherine’s and Paul’s Palaces (in Tsarskoye Selo and Pavlovsk) and their parks.
First, you will get acquainted to one of the former imperial summer residence.
You will enjoy the exterior and interior of Catherine’s Palace which is considered to be one of the world’s architectural masterpieces and walk in the romantic park that surrounds this palace. You will have a guided tour around marvelous rooms of the palace, including the Grand Hall decorated with gilded wood carving and mirrors; and, of course, you will admire the magnificent Amber Room (that was newly opened in May 2003 after 25 years of reconstruction).
And then, we will take you to the former summer residence of the Russian Emperor Paul I. During the tour you will visit the Paul’s Palace with its classical interiors and afterwards you will have a nice walk in the picturesque landscape park with small classical pavilions and marble statues. This park ensemble, which is considered to be one of the largest in Europe, gives an impression a wonderful combination of nature, architecture and art.

During this walking tour will visit St. Isaac’s Cathedral, Kazan Cathedral and The Savior on the Spilled Blood Church. You will see the interior and exterior of all three buildings:
*St. Isaac’s Cathedral is one of the most remarkable constructions of St. Petersburg that dominates the skyline and its gilded glittering cupola can be seen from all over the city. But its richly decorated with 43 different kind of minerals interiors will also attract your attention.
* Kazan Cathedral (Cathedral of Our Lady of Kazan) is a result of inspiration of Russian architect Andrey Voronikhin by the Dome of Saint Peter in Rome. It was named after a “miracle-making” icon of Our Lady of Kazan. It is still a functional cathedral unlike some others main temples of St. Petersburg.
* The Church of the Resurrection, also known as a “Church of Saviour on the Spilt Blood”, was erected on the place where the Emperor Alexander II was assassinated. It’s the church of dramatic history, impressive domes and magnificent mosaic panels. The church is located on the Griboedova canal embankment, not far from Nevsky prospect.
